![]() =C) Building one of the Four Directional Raising Bridges:īring up the Bridge Building Menu by pressing (b -> g). The resulting wall is always one z-level tall, watertight, and invulnerable to building destroyers.Īs the bridge "raises", it will fling anything on the bridge into the air, with unpleasant if not always deadly side effects.Ī Raising Bridge can be built to raise in any of the four cardinal directions of the compass: North, South, East, or West. When activated by a Lever or Pressure Plate, a Raising Bridge will form a wall of its length or width in the direction it is raised. I also dropped my Hunter in the Moat, who thankfully was able to swim to safety. Notice how the bridge vanishes on the first pull and then reappears on the second. Now I'll hook up a Lever to the Bridge and give it a Pull. The moat is now freely traversable thanks to the bridge across it. Here I build a 3x7 Retracting Obsidian Block Bridge All green variations in this video are valid Bridges that can be constructed here. ![]() The rest of the Bridge can extend partly over the gap or completely across. When buliding any type of Bridge, at least one side (the side that has walking access to your building materials) has to either be on land or right next to land. ![]() Up on the surface, I have a small 1z Level Moat guarding my entrance. =B) Building a Retracting Bridge Over a Moat: I'll pull the Levers again and the Bridges Reappear. Watch what happens when I pull these Levers.the Bridges Disappear!
